VOL XLIII No. 36 340 NAMES DRAWN IN WAR DRAFF ON ST..TAMMANY PARISH: LIST IN FULL, WITH TOWNS For the benefit of our subscribers we have issued this special edition of The Farmer, knowing they will be anxious to learn as soon as possible which of our boys of St. Tammany parish have been taken inr the first draft. The Board will im . mediately mail cards to those drawn, giving instructions as to when and where to report for examination. The quota of St. Tammany parish is 171. The men will be examined in their numerical order, and-if 171 men pass the examination before the 342 numbers are exhausted, the re maiaing numbers will be placed back to be drawn in order in the next draft. These 342 numbers will be divided into three parts of 114 each. The fidrt 114 will be ordered to ap rpear Monday, August 6, for examl nation; the second 114 will be order ed to appear Tuesday, August 7, for examination, and the third 114 will be called for eximinatlion Wednes day, August 8. Physical examinations ill ;be con ducted by Dr. H. D. Bulloch and Dr. H. E. Gautreaux. The following names hive been drawn from St. Tammany paribh Ex emption Board, in accordance witi instructions from Washington. The numbers were drawn In Washington and were taken from the St. Tam many registration list of serial num bers. The action of the Board here was purely clerical, being the draw ing of 342 serial numbers in the or der fixed by the Government and the num'bering them 1 to 342, both in clusive. For the convenience of our sub scribers, we have placed these num bers under the head of the towns from which they were registered, s.i each town may fnd its draft without going through the entire list.
