All members are Urgentyl requested to attend. The Rest Awhile cottage of the King's Daughters at Mandeville, on last Tuesday, closed for the season. There were seventy-nine guests and the to,urteen ladies of the committee were present. After a jolly good time refreshments were served, thru the kindnesr of many friends and the liberal moLthly donation of Mr. E. J. Domergue. Again the friends, relatives and acquayntances were invited to w't ness impressive ceremonies in the beautiful chapel of St. Scholastica':. Tuesday, August 24, at 8 o'clock a. mn., the Convent 'bell announce the hour of the happy nuptials of Miss Floren.ce Terrebonne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Terrebon .e, and Sister Mary Techla Molitor. Miss Terrel'onne, clad in bridal at tire, accompanied by four white wreathed maidens, Sister Mary Tech la, the happy jubilarian, the Rev Mothce Prioress and the Nivoce-m!e tress, the procession solemnly weal ed its way to the elegantly decorated chapel, while the organ pealed forth an appropriate march. Upon enter ing zhe chapel, the bride took her place at the handsomely adornae: priedieu, and the happy Jubilarian and tour attendants retired to he" specially decorated prieudieu. The altars looked unusually beau tiful decorated with ferns, pot plants, natural flowers, garlands and em blems of silver and numerous lights. Rev. Father John Burger, O. S. B., celebrated the High Mass and of ficiated at all the ceremonies, assist ed by Rev. Father Alphonse, O. S. B.. Rev. Pather Bernard, O. S. B., and Rev. Father L. Roth, of New Or leans. At the offertory, the happy bride approached the altar and knelt at the feet of Rev. Father John, wao asked her, "Will you renounce the world, and all its pomps and vani ties?" She firmly responded, "I will." She then discarded her bridal wreath and veil, and after receiving the religious dress, retired to the sacristy, and clothed herself in the eomb.x habit of the Benedictine Order. After which she returned to the foot of the altar to be crowned and :eceive the name by which she is to be known in religion, Sister Margret Mary Alocoque. With a face wreathed in smiles the newly made Sister resumes her place at her priedieu. Sister Mary Techla Molitor, wh9 celebaI.ted the 25th anniversary of her Tinal vows, proceeded to the middle of the chapel, and with ex tended arms sang thrice, "Uphold me, O Lord, according to Thy word and I shall live; and let me not be confounded in my expectations." The came was thrice repeated by the choir, followed by the Gloria, after which she proceeded to the foot of the altar, and in a clear, audible voice renewed the vows she hal made twenty-five years ago. She re ceived a silver crown and then re turned to her place. Rev. Father John's sermon was very appropriate and impressive. Several points of the religious life so often misconstrued by seculars, was dlearly explained. The ceremonies concluded with Benediction of the Blessed Sacra ment, -after which the happy Sisters received the good wishes and con gratulations of their fellow Sisters, relati-es and friends.
