appartments and chambers are lofty, commodious
and airy, and are furnished with every convenience,
Ihe site is admirably selected on a table land, ovei
looking the river, which equals in beauty the ecle
brated highlands of the Hudson, and is surrounded
with every variety of mountain, forest,' plain and
woodland scenery, in which is a' magmheent water
fall of about 200 feet high, in the vicinity of the
house, and also fine shrubberies and a charmine ear-
den, well stocked with tropical and other fruits and
flowers collected from various countries. The rivers
and lakes afford good sport for the angler, and the
bread-fruit forest, orange groves, and other woods
abound with wild turkeys, poultry, hogs and goats.
Saddle horses will be supplied for visiting the fine
Scenery of other parts of the Island and boats and
canoes for aquatic excursions. I here is also every
facility for plunge and shower baths.
The table d'hote will present a constant supply of
excellent viands, with a profuse abundance of fresh
eggs, milk cream, butter, fish, gaxe and tropical
and other fruits produced on the spot. Jror further
