The barque Zone, 30 ions, Capt. Fish, Fairhiven, 23 mos.
nut with 1.200 bbls spm., arrived at Kororareka on the i9th
inst. Capt. Fish is bound home.
The shp Two Brothers, 2S8 tons, Capt. Childs, X. B.,43 mos
out, with 350 bbls spin, and 250 wh., went into Alongonui on
2stli Dec, sailed fr N" B. on the 13th inst.
The shp Arctic, 431 tons, Capt. Beedman, of X B., clean, ar
rived at Aionsnnui on the 5th and sailed again on the 7th.
Capt. Beedman sent home 790 bbls. from Honolulu, which he
had taken since he was in Mnngonui last tear, together with
270 bbls. spm. and 60 wh, which he bad taken previously to
calling at this port. The Arctic cleared at Honolulu on the
9th November, since which date she has bad no luck; Capt.
Beedman intends cruising for a few weeks and then looking
in at Mongonui.
The ship Washington, 344 tons, Capt. Parrington, of N B.,
5 mos nut, with 70 bbls black oil, 600 lbs bone went into Mon
gonui on the 8 ill inst.
Eliza F. Mason, of New Bedford, 4 months out, with 80
barrels sper n and 450 brls black. Captain 8mith reports that
about 300 mites E.S E., off St. Paul's Island, he picked np a
mizenmast and erossjack yard, apparently belonging to 4 ship
ol' Iroiu 1000 to 1500 tons. The mast was much charred at the
lower end, as if it had been burnt off close to the deck. The
cross jack yard was painted lead color, and seemed to be new.
Keittie the mast noj yard seemed to be long in the water.
William A Eliza, in lat. 34 S., long. 18 on the 10th
Feb , 17 months out, with 350 bairels sperm.
Elizaheih Swift, ot New Bedlord, 36 months out on 7th
Dec, with 350 barrels sperm.

The Monmouth, American a baler, has come into port to re
pair, she having received some little damage. She has been
taken to Cuthbert's wharf.

The mutineers oa board the wbalebark Junior bad all been
caught, examined, and were to be sent home for trial in the
said bark, in charge of the former mate.

Fish, of Fair Haven, homeward bound ; ship Oliver Crocker,
352 tons, McCleave. on a cruise and home. The Commodore
Morris ws standing off and oa the Heads on the 6th, waiting
for potitoes and other supplies. The ship Elizabeth, 329 tons.
Pierce, of New Bedford, landed his chief mate, tbe same day,
for potatoes and other siores. Since leaving Kororareka, oa
the 6th Jan., the Elizabeth has taken 115 barrels sperm. In.
deed, this season, tbe New Zealand waters bare been toemiag
with fish. Eren in tbe Golf of Hoarakl the water has been
alive with sperm whales ; indeed we bare been requested,
within tbe last few days, by more than one coasting master to
draw attention to thatiact in the rain hope of rousing oar com
mercial men to organize a fishing company, in order to tbe so
caring of an export which seems to solicit as to take IL Ac
cording to our informant, a Urge sperm whale rose uader the
Eastosid's fore-foot, actually spouting into her jib as she stood
out to aea.
Captain Clark, of the AucXneagl, from Glasgow, makes a
report which will fill many a heart with painful anxiety.
When in lat. 50 a 40' 8., and long. 33 .. he sighted four
large icebergs, and on the ISth of Nor., in lai. 49 16 8. and
long. 45 9 E , passed about oao-half of the bull of a Urge ship,
apparently not loag in the water. It bad the appearance of
baring been rubbing agiiast rocks or ice, as it was very much
chafed. No further particulars could be obtained, as it was
blowing hard at the time. Again. oa the 30th Nov., in latitude
