NOTES l3Ej LIHUE HI-Y HOLD BUSINESS AND SOCIAL MEETING The Lihue Hi-Y Club held its re gular weekly meeting at the home of Secretary Locke last Friday ev ening. The fellows were introduced to the mysteries of the great Am erican pastime in its parlor version. The final score of a hotly contested five Inning game stood 32-32 in fav or of Shorty Thomas' team. A whirl wind come-back was staged by Rob inson's team in the last inning when 19 men came over the plate before three goose-eggs were chalked. The feature of the game was the Babe Ruth batting of Slim (alias Dick) Rice. His repeated emulations of the famous bambino gave the desion of the final Bcore. A new method of deep-breathing and lung enlargement proved all thut was promised for it in ,the game of puff-pong. Bill Moragne's team Reemed to have the strongest breath and dis armed the other delegates on the modern 5-3 basis. The weighty problems disposed in tho business meeting were sonje what lightened by the appearance of a pitcher of circus lemonade and well stocked plates of cookies and cake, and. they were still further forgotten during the recital of Mr. Riley of his war experiences and the adventures of a feline friend. The Point of View Blessed Is tho peace-maker, espe cially in the eyes of the under dog Duluth Herald.
