JERUSALEM, October !). Empcr.

Oils and Water Colors by McCoinas
and Rhishki.
McCoinas and Blaski, the two Aus
tralian artists who have spent some
time in Honolulu leave for America
on Wednesday by the Moana. These
parties have for the last few weeks
conlined themselves to the charms of
Moaunlun, and have depleted it In a
way which shows their earnestness
and appreciation of this resourceful
spot. These artists speak very high
ly of the courtesy and kindness shown
by Mr. Damon.
Mr. lllashki is undoubtedly at his
best in a glimpse of the bubbling
brook to the right of the road. He
has treated his subject in a scheme of
beautiful low toned greens, nnd the
effect he has obtained makes one feel
very happy, without any apparent rea
son, which is a compliment to both
picture and painter. Again in another
view of the creek, lie has caught in
his square oil a charming bit of na
ture. Mr. McCoinas is the water color man
of the pajr. He lias various bits of
nature treated in a way new to this
part of the world. He shows one mag
nificent water color, Manoa Valley,
painted to order of E. A. Mott-Smit'h.
It is strong and full of color and
hangs together well.
An evening oil by this same artist
is noteworthy for its feeling of quiet
and suggestion of the time of day
which poets love to sing of.

Ramblers:
Tliis price on the well known RAMBLER bicycle for the balance of
180S and 1899 is made possible by the fact that, after careful Investigation
nnd consideration by their corps of experts, nnd consultations with their
principal agents and many expert wheelmen, the Gormully & JeiTery Man
ufacturing Company fall to discover a single particular in which they can
improve on the 1S9S models of RAMBLERS, which they are quite satisfied
are now as near perfect as it Is possible to mnke bicycles. This decision
was the means of effecting a great saving in the cost of new pntterns, dies,
etc., which will now be unnecessary, and this saving has been given to tho
public in the reduction of price. .
Gormully & Jclfery proudly boast of the fact that they have operated
their factories continually without a shut down during tho entire year, as '
they have always done in the past, and that this has resulted in the same
men working on the same parts of RAMBLERS for many years, thus In
suring the highest efficiency and economical organization, nnd that, not
withstanding the low list price, the latest RAMBLERS are the best they
have ever built. M.KVy3$$!(
We now have a good stock of 1S99 RAMBLERS, and you will find them
the same old reliable, popular wheel they have always been.
