JEFFRIES WILL BE THINNER BILLY WOODS THINKS HIS OLD PUPIL IS TOO GOOD FOR MONROE When Jeffries and Monroe come to' gether towards the end of this -month to settle the question of the' heavy weight championship who will prove the victor? Perhaps no one can claim a better right to prophecy than can Billy Woods and he can see nobody but Jeffries in the light. "It looks like Jeffries all the way to me" said Woods to the Star this morn ing "I do not think the fight will go beyond six or seven rounds at that. The wish is not the father of my thought In this matter for I'd like to see Monroe knock the block off Jeffries. J put Jef fries in the business, trained him for his first three fights and did more for (him than he Is ever likely to ncknowl edge but he Is about as ungrateful a proposition as you can Imagine, A good licking is certainly coming to him but I don't think that It is In Monroe to give It, Monroe has no doubt Im proved a great deal since he went Into the ring with Jeffries before but I don't think that he has had enough ring ox perlence to go up against the champion yet for a while, I only hope I am wrong. I've never seen Monroe fight and he 'may be better than I think he Is SIGNALS Every Day This Week 10 O'clock a. m. at my salesroom 847 Kaalmmanu Street, FURNITURE JAS. F.. MOM-JAN AUCTIOXK1CK.
