Siberia Has Heavy Shipment.
The Siberia arrived this morning
from San Francisco after a very plens
nnt trip,. no rough weather being ex
perienced on any part of the journey.
The vessel was well Indcu, both
with pnssengers nnd enrgo. For Ho
nolulu she had slxty-slx In tho cabin,
thirteen In tho .second-class and ono
In the steerage. In her holds she had
150 tons of cargo for Honolulu. This
Included an automobile 'for one of the
local garages, and a speedy motor boat
for the naval yard.
For tho Orient there are seventy
five first cabin, seven second and seventy-eight
steerage. Her through
cargo Is heavy, for there Is 5600 tons,
consisting chiefly of government
stores for Manila, where tho vessel
will go after leaving Nagasaki. From
Manila she will go to Hongkong and
then call at the usual ports on her
way back to the Coast.
She will leave for the Orient at live
o'clock this afternoon.
Canadian-Australian New Service.
Auckland Star: The new mall ser
vice from Auckland to Vancouver Is
to be Inaugurated by the Union com
pany's steamer Marama (6437 tons),
leaving this port on August 4 for
Suva, Honolulu, Victoria (B. C.) and
Vancouver. The Marama Is now en
route from Vancouver to Sydney, and
her cool storage will be Increased be
fore she enters on the new service.
The Marama is timed to leave Syd
ney on July 31 for Auckland, arriving
here on August 4 and leaving' on her
initial trip the same day. The Ma
rama will also be the first Inward
steamer of the new service. She will
arrive back at Auckland on Tuesday,
September 26, and Sydney on Satur
day, September 30. Simultaneously
with the inauguration of the Auck-land-Vnncouver
service the boats on
the Wellington-San Francisco run
will cease to call at Auckland.
Kinau from Kauai.
The Kinau arrived from Kauai yes
terday morning with 6000 bags K. A.
sugar, twenty-four empty oil drums,
thirty-four barrels empty bottles, fifty
barrels honey, sixty bags rice, forty
bags taro, nine bundles hides, twenty
crates alligator pears, five bags ba
nanas, three bags pumpkins, one crato
pigs, two crates chickens, two mules
and 150 packages sundries.
Navajo Filling Her Oil Tanks.
This morning the Navajo was over
at the railroad wharves replenishing
her oil tanks, which were appreciably
depleted after her voyage from the
Coast. She will leave for Pearl Har
bor tomorrow, where she will be used
in connection with the naval work go
ing on there.
Oil Boat for Naval Yard.
By the Siberia this morning Captain
Shepley received a motor dory for use
by his department. The boat was put
straight into the water and towed over
to the naval wharf, where she will be
refitted for her work.
Kukui in Dock.
The lighthouse tender Kukui is in
dry dock, being thoroughly over
hauled. She looks fine in her new
coat of paint. The wireless installa
tion will be made while she Is In dock.
She is now without an operator, as
from Honolulu, July 16.

Lurline Has Artillery Batteries.

ing received a wireless message front
the Lurline to the. effect that slid was
1000 miles off at 8 o'clock last night.
At that hour she wns experiencing a.
northerly wind, but the sea was.
smooth. She has forty-four passen
gers for Honolulu and sixty-two sacks
of mail, as well as 144 packages of ex
press matter. There are In the holds.
3750 tons of cargo for Honolulu, twe
Batteries of artillery and ten automo
biles. For Kahulul she has 860 tons of
cargo. She Is duo early on Wednes
day morning and will dock at the old
Hackfeld wharf, now the Matson.

Inter-Island Sailings.
The Noeau sails at 5 o'clock this
afternoon for Kealia, Kllauea, Kallhl
wai, Hanalel and Walnlna.
Tho Iwalanl will be another depart
ing inter-Island steamer at 5 o'clock
this afternoon. She Is booked for
Klpahulu, Molulau and Honolpu, car
rying explosives.
The Llkelike will leave tomorrow
at noon for Mahukona', Kawalhae and
Punaluu.
Mlkahala from Maul, v
The Mlkahnln arrived from Maul via
Molokal yesterday morning with slxty-slx
pigs, fifty cases of honey, thirty
head of cattle, seventy empty . beer
barrels, forty-one empty wine barrels,
thirteen boxes of pigs, six boxes of
eggs, and 117 pnekages of sundries.
Andrew Welch En Route Here.
The well known barkentlne Andrew
Welch left San Francisco yesterday
for Honolulu direct. She will corao
to Brewer & Co., who have not yet re-
celved any details concerning her
cargo. It Is probable .that sho will
have some passengers, as she has
grown quite popular In this direction.
Captain Kelly Is the commander.
Newsboy from Aberdeen.
The Newsboy had an uneventful pas
sage from Aberdeen, Wash. She ar
rived Here yesterday laden with 547,
768 feet of lumber consigned to Alleir
& Robinson.
Wailele from Hawaii.
The Wailele was another early ur-u
rival yesterday. She brought from
Hawaii 4928 sacks of sugar, four
packages of sundries and seventy-four
head of cattle.
Iwalanl Had Rough Weather.
The Iwalanl brought no cargo back:
from Hawaii yesterday. It was too
rough at Kipahulu to land her freight
and was, therefore, unable to take
away any sugar. There were no cat
tle at Nuu.
