An ordinance requiring the construction and maintainance of certain cement sidewalks and crossings in the City of Wa Keeney, Kansas, in accordance with the provisions and specific ations of Ordinance No. 130 of said city. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Wa-Keeney, Kansas: Ser tion 1: The owners of all i tVip following described oronerty I are hereby ordered and required to construct cement smewaiKs alongside or in front of said property on or before the first dav of November. 1010. and to maintain the same thereafter, in accordance with the provisions and specifications of Ordinance No. 130, to-wit: All lots and parts of lots in tbf south end of blocks number ed 20. 21. -JT2. and the west half of block No. -2-i, abutting on War ren Avenue. Section 2: If any owner of real estate designated in section one of this ordinance shall fail to comply with the requirements of said section on or before the first of November 1910, the com mittee on public improvement shall construct the sidewalks therein provided for as soon thereafter as nractiacble and report the exact cost of such construction to the city clerk rm or before the first dav of Deo ember. 1910. Such delinauent owner shall then pay such costs to the city clerk on or betore tne first day of January, lyil, and faurp his receint Tor tne same If such costs remain delinquent and unpaid thereafter the city clerk shall add twenty per cent thereto and the whole sum shall be assessed against the property of such delinquent owner, and nollecteri as other taxes are col leeted; provided, only one half such total cost oe assessed an nually until the whole is paid. ; Section S: The committee on public improvement is hereby directed and authorized to con struct such street and alley crossings as may be necessary to connect the walks ar.d parts of walks provided for in section one of this ordinance, and to con seet the same with other walks, as; soon after the completion of such walks may be practicable. He" has lived all his life in Trego county and has been a loyal citizen, and the citi zens of the county only done a justice when they nominated him for sheriff.
