His sale is billed for next Tuesday. Attend this sale. Mr. Sherman Smith and Miss Ethel M. Korell were married at the office of the probate judge last Saturday. They were from McPherson, Kansas. Chas. V7. Roach and Miss Ora B. Beatty were married at the home of the bride in Franklin township last bunday, rcev Chas. M. Reed of Utica, officiat ing. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sahlin were treated to surprise by their friends and neighbors by a basket supper last Friday even ing. A good time was reported by all. J.- J. Keraus was up from legislature last Saturday and Sunday. He says things are grinding along slow but sure. Mrs. Keraus accompanied mm on his return to the capitol. There will be a circle coyote hunt in Happy township in Gra ham county, Saturday, Marcn 25. to which everybody living in the township is invited to par ticiuate. The hunt will starts at 10 o'clock. Marriage license was issued Wednesday to John L. Snyder. Bonner's Ferry,. Idaho, and Miss Eliza Countryman, Wa-Keeney Mr. S. is the son of Wm. R Snyder who formerly lived m the Downer neighborhood, this county. The Masonic lodge meeting night has been changed from the second and fourth Monday in each month to the first and third Tuesday nights. A. spe cial. meeting will be held next Monday night for the conferring of degrees. George Condon, day man at the depot, has been transferred to Damar, Kans., where he hold the position as station agent, C O. The Ladies Missionary society held a speciel meeting at the Presbyterian church last Sun day and a very interesting 'pro gram was rendered. Last Friday the C. E. society of the Presbyterian church served oysters in the court house basement. We under stand the young people realized nice tidy little sum. We understand that the Epis copal church is to have a regular resident pastor. Rev. Anderson having arrived this week, ac companied by his wife. They expect to soon be located in Wa Keeney." I J. H. Barbara K. Ivan teacher. I heard with great pleasure yesterday at. the de Fumak As sembly a lecture by Mrs. A. C Zehner, of Texas. It was of high order. It was forceful, logical and instructive. , The hearers were often moved to ap plause by the incisive points made in it. It contained no clap-trap, no laughter-provoking stories, but from the firs to the lastr held the fixed attention of every hearer. Mrs. Zehner is a lady of fine personal appearance and attractive manners, and is moved by high motives. She in spired her hearers, too, with noble ideas.
