The following resolutions, adopted.by the As- fe
sistant Board, were read twice and concurred
in, the rules being suspended.
A resolution appropriating the room now occupied tI
by the Citief of Police, to the use of the Register o
of the electors of New Orleans and nppropriating the
room formerly usedby the Treasurer to the use of the
Chief of Police.
A resolution to pay sundry persons (adopted d
April 29th, 1856.)

A resolution approving the adjudications made for
constructing two bridges across Canal Carondelot a
nuisance wharf foot of Independence street, and at

Mr. Durell moved to amend the foregoing res
- olution, by inserting the words "five per Dent

- Railroad, and the eerw Orleans, Opelousans and
Great Western Railroad.
