L. RIDDELL, P. M. New Orleans, November 30, 1860. KISDNAPPnoio.-The I'eroandina Floridian of the 21st has the following: On the night of the 10th inst., ihree free negro sailors, who constituted a portion of the crew of the brig Wingold, Capt. Loring, and who were eon fined in the jail of thli place, were removed, and have not since been heard of. Six free negro sea men were forcibly taken on the night of te 17th from the bark N. W. Bridge, Capt. Lung, now lying in the sound, off Cumberland Island. These eats, doubtless committed in the excitelent arising from the election of Lincoln, and intended as retalia tory, were perpetrated without a proper considera tion of the evils that might result. It was our hope that the great cause of Southern Rights, to which we are all heartily devoted, might have progressed steadily and grandly forward, without the occur rence of any act calculated to bring disgrace or odium upon the movement. No wrong can be re paired by the commission of a similar wrong. If our Northern brethren see fit to deprive us of our property, that fact is not sufficientreason for South ern men to commit a violation of the laws. Itis proper to remark that our citizens, with great unanimity, condemn these proceedings. We learn that Judge Putnam, in his charge to the Grand Jory, denounced these acts in very severe terms and called the special attention of that body to the subject. We hope that the Legislature, soon to assemble, will take this matter into consideration. and pass such an act as will prevent captains of Northern vessels frombringing such crews into our ports for the future. Os' or EaMpLOYMLNT IN Nso Yost.--The New York Journal of Commerce says the number of persons thrown cnt of employment in that city since the election, is at least 2,000. It adds: One clothing establishment which we might name has discharged 1000 hands; a hat establish ment se dilscharsged nearly 1000 a saddlery firm has reduced its force about 000 ; and curtailment is very general At Newark especially, the crisis is severely felt, oa account of their extensive con neetioae with the Southern trade. Should there be no improvement, mach suffering must ensue among the laboring elases. It appears singular at tUre night that thus far, houses in the Western bnsiness are the largest suferers; but itis inevit able that all elases of traderau a t sfar from the prevailing panic, unless we except the sumanufac turers of flire-arms.
