Incomplete retlrnt indicate that the conservatives have carried the ciay. BaTrntone, Nov. G.-T-he returIns indicate a Conservative majority t this city. 'The whole v legislative conservative city ticket is elected. John L. Thomas is probably e:': atead by Archer, in the Second Congressioonal It,trict. Phelps is t re-elected to Congress in the IThird District. LATER.-Without hearing from other i)ortions of the State, the result of the olection in titfk cily indicatesthat tite Democrats and conservatives united, will have in the next le::i2-lature filteen Senators to nine tl)tpublicalts, au(d in the House fifty-five Representatives to twventy-iive Rlepubli cans, a clear majority on a joint ballht, of thirty six. BosToN, Nov. G6.-Bnllochk's Repulican ma. jority for governor, will be atoiut 70,000. The Republicans elect eleven Congres.smt n, the full delegation. Butler has nearly 5000, and Banks 6000 majority. TRENTOs, N. J., Nov. G.--MIoret, It tpublican, is elected to Congress in the Firsat I)ii'.riet. There are large Republican gains in the Stite. Morris county gives 600 majority for Hill, Repablican, for Congress, over Rogers, Democrat. Newark gives Halsey, Republican for Congress, 1500 majority. WasnrIuoToa, Nov. 6.--11:30 P. t.--The returns from New York State are very meagre. and give io definite idea of the result. Private dispatches from proluinent Democrats speak hopefully. Itis claimed that Hoffman has over forty-!ive thousand majority in Now York city. A summing up of majorities, tlu.a far received, is thought, in private di,:pa'tcehes, to in.liaite a majority for the conservatives, in the State, of from five thousand to ten thou=and.
