FIDOLY MORNING, NOV IhotElRt 16, 1866.
Obsequies of the Latet Gen. ,aansen.
The obsequies of the lIato (lo. lHanson, at Lex
ington, Ky., on the 11th, incident to the reinter
ment of the remains, were of a marked and im
pressive character. The catafalque, as we learn
fromthe Cincinnati Commercial, was constructed
over the orchestra box in Odd Fellows' Hall, a
room with seating cepacity of about eight hundred,
and standing susceptibilities of three or four hun
dred more. The dais on which the casket rested
was bordered with wreaths of laurel and festoons
of cedar, and bloomed withl often-recurring bou
quets of fail flowers and immortelles.
The casket itself was almost smothered with
wreaths and spotless flowers. The stage was pro
fusely draped with black, and adorned with bou
quets, while at the rear was a scene representing
an encampment. Festoons of cedar, adorned
with wreaths and mourning ribbons ent.irled the
main body of the hall. No specially signifllcant
objects were employed in the decorations-noth
ing that would not have been as appropriate for
the obsequies of any soldier who had fallen in
battle.
The funeral oration was by Rev. Joseph D.
Pickett, chaplain of the brigade commanded by
the deceased. The procession which followed the
remains to the cemetery, was about a mile in
length.
The pall-bearers were all Confederate offeers.

poison from the blood, and thus cures them alike. It is not
only the most effectual remedy ever discovered for this class ofe
