With the rash of business now on the road the company has seen fit to install another operator at this point; this makes four all told in the office here. Quite a change has taken place in the temperature at Seligman ; it is very cloudy, with a cold wind; but then this is the time of the year to expect just such a change. Mr. Ed Clark, yard foreman, who has been laid up with rheu matism for the past couple of weeks, is back at his old post again. "A lean horse for a long race, and a hard one to kill," says Ed. Mr. V. Rose, one of the promi nent sheepmen located in this vicin ity, has been very sick with pneu monia. We are glad to state, how ever, that he is now out of danger and on the road to recovery. Mr. James Wilson and wife have arrived in Seligman, where he will remain in the future as manager of the new Harvey house. Mr. Wil son was located here two years ago and the many friends that he and his wife made at that time are glad to welcome them back. Mr. J. M. Woods, superintendent of B. and B., has placed a new pump in position immediately under the large water tank. It is only a temporary affair, however, and will remain only long enough to allow the removal of the one from Old Town to take its place. Mr. Charles Frazier, who has been relieved by Mr. James Wilson, (both of the Harvey system), will depart Monday for Bars tow, where he will manage the Harvey house at that point. Mr. Frazier is an old-time friend of Seligman, as is his wife, and we wish them success wherever they may go. A social dance will be given at the Silvernail opera house on New Year eve to raise funds for the benefit of the Williams Military band. Good music will be furnish ed by an orchestra composed of members and a good time is assur ed. The admission will be one dol lar, so go and help the boys; even if you don't go, buy a ticket and help them that much any way. ASH FORM. BY MISS 1UCI FTLTS. Friday evening the Ash Fork so ciety people will enjoy one of their popular dances. Several children have been ab sent on account of colds this week. We hope to see them all in school next week. Last Saturday Messrs. Bishop, John Foley and Tom Foley started to the mountains for a hunting trip. We wish them good sport. A good Christmas tree and dance is an assured fact as plenty of money has been subscribed and all are taking a deep interest in the affair. mis weeic a pnotograpner was about taking pictures of all the homes and public buildings, and many of the citizens bought the pictures. The entertainment given last Saturday evening by Wolf and Rowntree was quite well attended After the entertainment a dance was enjoyed until midnight. We are triad to learn that Mr, Geo. Douglas is recovering from his severe illness. His brother. Walter Douglas, of San Francisco. arrived in Ash r ork Monday morn ing for a visit with him. The people of Ash Fork are en joying a venison this week, the re sult of the hunting trip of Messrs, J. Archambeau and Arthur Doyle. They left on Tuesday morning re turning Wednesday evening with two fine deer. Father Connolly will hold serv ices at the Catholic church tomor row, both morning and evening. All are invited. There will be a grand mask ball at the Silvernail opera house on Christmas eve, under the auspices of the "Saginaw Jolly Ten." In vitations to the number of one hundred will be issued and a good time is anticipated. Letter LUt.
