June 6, to July, 4,1919 Interesting Visitors Two interested and interest ing visitors passed through Wil liams, this week, from Sar. Francisco, for Topeka, Kans. They were two Chinese stud ents, sent out by that republic, to study the railway systems of the United States. Messrs Loh and Shar received a splendid college education in their homo country, and speak English most fluently. The June Santa Fe magazine publishes notice of their attending a banquet in San Francisco, where they have been studying in Mr. Blacks of fice, learning the freight end of the business. They have gone to Topeka to study the traffic end, now. in the office of Mr. Connell, of the Topeka general offices. While in Williams they visited the Postal Telegraph of fice, and displayed remarkable knowledge of duplexes, quad ruplexes, phantoplexes, amme ters, voltmeters, motors, dyna mos, gas engines, and much of the various equipment of that office. They were pleased to say, however, they were civil engineers, not electrical engi neers. Tony Pizzo and C. J. Devine, j were each chained to a motor I. cycle by Roscoe (Fatty Arbuck j le, on May. 21, at Los Angeles I and started to cross the conti nent to New York City.' They, arrived in Williams on Thurs day the fifth inst.. and proceed ed to . the Grand Canyon. About five miles out from Wil liams, Pizzos tire was punctur ed, and he returned to Williams for repairs. The men are ad-i vertising the Fisk tire, Morrow brakes, and Crown bicycles. Some job going to bed with 0. motorcycle chained to a "fel ler", but thats part of their con tract, and Fatty made a good job of chaining. They sell souvenir cards to meet their expenses. . .
