At 10:45 A. m. it was quoted at 14l1. ant At 11:45 a. M. it stood at 1401, and at 3 P. m. It lie closed at 14ot. Rates n this market have under (al one but little variation to-day, and there has ib been so marked alteration at any time noticeable in( in the demand or supply. We append var'icu- Ju lars of the actual sales, viz: $15,000 Gold at eVI 13t' ; $4000 do. at 140; 1$1000, $2000, $2000 and 1 $50u0 do. at 1404. Sales of Silver comprise $10011 W. Ca FoRneoN Excnos--Transactions in Sterling 11' and Francs have been of a very restricted char- p acter since our last. Offerings of Commercial in bills have been light throughout, and the demand i on the part of remitters has been quite limited at previous quotations. The following are the only 5 operations reported on reliable authority. z: L £1000 Al commercial Sterling at 153,. 20.050f. private bankers' Francs at 3.65, 125,tOf. do. at C'l 3.66. and 0,000f. and 50.000f. The at market is but very poorly supplied with cominer- to cial sight and short sight, and the remittance inquiry discloses a steady abatement. The Ki annexed statement embraces the total purchases tr by bsoks and bankers since our last. viz : $2000 ( and $10,000 New York commercial sight at par; A $15,000 and $5000 do. at '" cent. premium; t $5000 and $70,000 do. at 3 V cent. premiu n; Al $12,000 thirty days sight at . 11 cent. discount; and $8000 do. at cent. dlicount. We still quote yl cent. premium at bank, and par(ra i cent. premium out of doors for sight checks ou Northern cities. UNcuraNTr NK'o.u AND RzECi-eTIE,---Opera tions in city notes have exhibited n0, improvement Li whatever to-day. The market was amply sup. plied throughout, and the demand was but little ti: better than nominal at any titne from the opening to the close of business. Louisiana State notes fo afford some evidence of recuperation, while Bank of Louisiana notes continue neglected, and the th movement in most classes of Stocks and Bonds ii still wholly suspended. The total sales to day bt have been confined to the following lots, viz: $1000 city notes at 3,1 1 cent. discount, $1050 and $8000 do. at 31. slid $2000 do. at 364 14 cent. discount : 2 and 15 levee bonds at 434, and 20 do. at 44c. The cflerirg supply was as heretofore quite r restricted and we need hardly say that holders, in view of the continued upward tmovement in prices 1 at Liverpool and New York. enhanced their figures to the utmost tension. The offering sup ply was of too insignificant a character, however, to admit of heavy, or even moderate operations, and the total sales have been limited to 450 bales, divided among six buyers. The actual advance effected in rates to-day is }o. V lb. upon all clas- 1 sifications, and the market closed atifl at the sub. joined figures, viz.: Good ordinary, 2549-, low middling 26@-c. and middling 27(i-c. O0'TTON 5TAtI3RNilY. Broan AND MoLAsSs-There is no evidence whatever of returning vitality under the above heading. Sales of the former to-dasy have been restricted to ;s bods. Louislana at a price that has not transpired, and 'here has been no move ment whatever in Molasee, so far as we have been informed. Quotations remain nominally un changed, however, and we would, therefore. re peat previous figures, as fuollows, viz: l,l54c. lb. for fully fair to prime louisiana Sugar. 154 @15~ljc. FLOUR--The demand continues very limited. as there is none being exported, and salaes today were coutined to emall lots for the oily trade, with figures in favor of buyers. Some .00 bbl. were disposed of in lots varying from 50 to 100 bbhl., at the following figures, viz: 50 bbls. com mon at $7 37;). 200 bbls. treble extra at $' 235 $9 16, 100 bbls. choicte extra at $12 50, and serve ral small lots ot choice extra and inferior grades upon private terms. Coas-Tranaactions to day were confined to some 4000 sacks, and prices indicate no material change from those of yesterday. There isa very fair inquiry for choicer kinds, and the market closed with the following sales, viz: 60) yllw mixed at 90a., 300 yellow mixed at '7c., 30 white mixed at $1 03:, and '100 white mixed at S1 02. O(Te--A alight advance in the price iv the only noticeable feature of the market. FltoaTrs--As the season advances the shtipping movement discloses a very heavy and steady tall-: I ing off. The tonnage in port on foreign and do mestic acoount is reduced to the summer standard, while the demands for freight room indicate a cor responding or perhaps greater abatement. There is no steamshP tor Uverpool in dock at this tame and therefore It would be useless to attempt to furnlsh reliable rates in thi connection. Quota tiom by sail to Liverpool are 7.164. for cotton.
