Bowen as paving appraiser, and, on roll cail, -the appointment was con firmed by the following vote: Ayes Blakely, Holliday, Horn,. Howe, Jordan, Kutz. Lannan, Montgomery and Stanley 9. Noes None. Absent Howard, Hughes and Van Ness 3. J. F. Buck, Peter Hell and J.' H. Evans were appointed as appraisers on the loth St. paving, and J. H. Squires, George Hanley and L. T. Gage on N. Kancus nve and Gordon st. paving. The appointments were confirmed by the following votes: Ayes Blakely, Holliday, Horn, Howard, Howe, Jordan, Kutz, Lannan, Montgom ery and Stanley 10. Noes None. By the Mayor and Council of the City of Topeka, that the mayor be, and is, hereby, instructed to enter Into contracts for' the grading, rolling, curb ing, paving, building of sidewalks, etc., in accordance with the bids accepted by said mayor and council for said Improvements the 20th day of June. 1907. and that com bined cement curb and gutter be laid on N. Kansas ave. and Central ave., and that Ft. Scott blue sandstone be used on two blocks on Lincoln St. : one block on Mad-I ison 10th to 11th: Jefferson st.. 3d to 4th: Topeka ave. Huntington to Euclid ave.; 7th st. Topeka ave. to Tyler st., and on West St. 6th to 10th st. On roll call It was adopted by the fol lowing vote;- Ayes Blakely, Holliday, Horn, Howard, Howe, Jordan.
