Telephone 250, O vx LodAM, Editor What Ta vi.ou Local Repoi (or Tas. Q. 'Clkviou Manager WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS COMING UPON US? Like, a thief at night it steals in upon us unawnies. Manj' persons havo pnins about tliu chest and side?, and sometimes In the buck. They feel dull and sleepy; the mouth 1ms u bad tnste, especially in in the morning. A sort of sticky slime collects n'oont thoteeth. Thonppctllc is poor. There is a feeling like u heavy load on the stomach; sometimes .1 faint all-gone sensation at tho pit of the stomach -which food docs not satisfy. Tho eyes nto sunken, the hands and foot become cold unit feel clammy. After a vhilo a cough sets in at Ihst diy, but after 11 few mouths it is attended with n gTconish colouicd expectoration. Tho nlllictcd ouo feels tiled alltho while, and sleep does not seem to afford any rest. Aftci 11 time he becomes nervous, irrita ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore boilings. Thuro'is a giddiness, a son of whirling sensation in tho head when rising up suddenly. The howcls become costive; tho skin is diy and hot at times; the blood becomes thick and stagnant; the whites of the eyes become tinged w ith yellow', the urino is scanty and high coloured, depositing a sediment after standing. Tlieic is frequently a spitting up of tho food, sometimes with a sour taste, and sometimes with a swcetislj lastoj this is fiequcntly attended with palpitation of the heart; the vision becomes impaired with spots before tho ocs; there is a fueling ot gtcat prostra tfon and weakness. All ot th'csc &ymp toms are in turn picsent. It is thought thai neaily one-third of our populatfon has this dheasc ih some of its varied forms. It has been found Ih it medical men have mistaken tho nature of this disease. Some have treated it for a liver complaint, others for kidney disease, etc., but none ot tho various kinds of treat ment have been attended with success, because the icmcdy should ho such as to act harmoniously upon each one of these 01 gans, and upon the stomach as well ; for in Dyspepsia (for this is leally what the disciseis) all of these organs pai take of this disease and lequiro a remedy that will act upon all at the same time. Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like acharm in tills class of complaints, gi ing almost immediatcdielief. Thcfollowingletteis fiom chemists of standing In the com. munily wheic they live show in what estimation the article is held Jblnr Archer, ILirthlll, near Sheffield: I can confidently recommend it to all who may be suffering from liver or stomach complaints, having the testi mony of my customers, who hiwedciivtd gieat benefit fiom the Syrup and Pills. The sale is incieising wonderfully. Geo. A. Webb, HI, Yoik btreet, Belfast: I hive sold a large quantity, and tho pat lies hae testified to its being what ou represent it. J. S. Metcalfe, 53, Ilighgate, Kendal: I have always great pleasure in reconi mending the Curative Syrup, for I have never knov.n a case in which it has not relieved or cuied, and I have sold many grosses. liobt. G. Gould, 27, High Street, Andovcr: I have always take 11 gieat inteicst in your medicines and I hate recommended them, as I hive found numerous cases of cure from their use. Thomas Chapman, West Auckland: I Hud that the trade steadily incieascs. I bell more of your medicines than any other kind. l'rlockheim, Arbroath, Forfarshire, Sept. 23, 188J. Dear Sir, Last year I sent you a letter recommending Mother Seigel's Syrup. T havo very much plcasuio in still bearing testimony to the very satisfactory results of tho famed Syiup and Pills? Mostpatent medicines die out with me, but Motlier Seigel has had a steady sale ever sinco I com menced, and is still in as great demand .id when I llirtf begau to sell the medi cine. Tho cuics which have come under my notice arc chiefly thoso of liver complaint and general debility. N. Darroll, Clun, Salop: Ail who buy it are pleased, and recommend it. Jog. Balkwill, A, P. S., Kingsbrldgo: tWs public seem to appreciate their great value A. Aimstead, Market Sticct, Daltou-in-Purness: It is needless for mo to say that your valuable medicines have groat sale in this district greater than any other I know of, giving great satis faction. Hobt. Lainc, Mclksham: I can well recommend fho Curative Syrup from having proved its elhcacy for indigestion mvBclt. A certain minister iu my i.eighbour- Huuii says 11 is iiiu oiuy uuug which huh benefited him and rcstore'd him to his noi inul condition of health after being unable to preach for a considerable length of time. I could mention also a great many other cases, but spneo woum not allow. A near friend of mine, who Is very much addicted to costivenoss, 01 constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's Pills nro tho only pills which suit his complaint. All other pills gaubo n lclictlon "which is veiy annoying. Mother Seigel's Pills do not lenvo a uud nficr-ell'ect. I havo much pleasure in commending ajrain to MiH'01 Ing human, ity Mother Seed's medicines, which are no sham. If tills letter is of any service you can publish It. Youis very tiuly.
