succeeding "W. B. Castlo as pre
sident, was in tho chair. A va

ship. A petition wbh presented from
many prominent rosidonts, asking
that somo position bo givon to
Prof. A. B. Lyons, latoly toacher
of soionoes in Oahu Collogo, so ns
to retain him in tho country. Tho
Board had proviously expressed
itsolf favorablo to tho same desiro,
but now had no available position
opon for Prof. Lyons.
A. J. Hadloy, who was appoint
ed to tho charge of Waianao
school, rosigned. Mr. Abernothy,
who has had charge of tho Reform
atory sohool in tho absenooof Mr.
Noodhum, was givon tho Waianao
school.
Mr. Brightlaw was transferred
irom boing nssistant at Hanapope
to be principal at Koolau, Kauai.
W. B. Starkoy was transferred
from Kaupo to Wainiha, Kauai.
