Just Like Gold Coin,
For more than fifty years
has PERRY DAVIS' PAIN
KILLER stood the test
against all remedies prepared
to eradicate pain, and today
stands at the head of the list
among the medicines that arc
so essential to keep at hand in
the homo.
It is not a new fanglo remedy
nor do the proprietors lay
claim to any wonderful revela
tion of tho ingredients that en
ter into tho manufacture of
this ever popular remedy.
It is porfectly harmless, you
need have no fear of hecoming
habitually inclined to its use.
For Colic, Cramps, Dysen
tery, Colds, and all .painful
affections, a few doses will cer
tainly give relif. You cannot
afford to bo without a bottle
in the house.
Your forefathers used it
and found it boneficial.
Why experiment with some
remedy that is new and its effect
on the system unknown?
It has many rivals but no
equal.

Oakland, Juuo 5. Mr. and Mrs.
Albert T. Ohurcli, who wore mar
ried on tho high seas somo wooks
ago and immediately Bailed for
Honolnln, have returned and are
now staying with their respootive
families. Church is bat 18 years
oE ago, while his wife, who was
Miss Angie M. Fasher, is just
past 16. Tho couple were not
very favorably impressed with the
islands, and returned to Oakland
to biavo angry parents. Church is
the son of Mts. Surah J. Church
of 1102 Tenth stroot, and will re
coivo quite an inheritance when he
becomes of ago.
Tho youug couple met while at
tending tho Hipli School, and for
sook their school life to got mar
ried. Victoria' iflmiy Tlllr.
Tho proposal that Queon Victo
ria make an addition to hor many
titles upon tho occneiou of the
longest reign grows in popular
favor, and porhaps something will
come of it. Thero are plenty of
precedents, says a London cor
respondent of tho Now York Sun,
for thero havo boon fifteen
changes in tho royal stylo and
title since the timo of William tho
Conqueror. The Queen is said to
be hesitating between calling her
self "Queen of tho United King
dom of Great Britain and Ireland,
and of the Dominiou of the British
Nation, Defender of tho Faith,
Empress of India," etc., and a
formula which would describo hor
as Empress of India and tho
British Colonies. Tho dominat
ing idea of those favoring tho
change is to bring tho colonics in
somehow, because it is supposed
that the colonies will nover bo
wholly happy and thoroughly
loyal until tho British monarch's
sovereignty over thorn is expressly
set forth in her title. The fact
that thoy have managed to rub
along very well heretofore with
out it is regarded as an argument
worth serious attention.
Two Reporters it the Jubilee.
Among the mighty dignitaries
who will throng Victoria's palace
halls and add the glow of genius
and the light of virtue to the
pomp and splendor of her jubilee
will be two ex-reporters John
Hay, Embassador Plenipotentiary
of the United States, and White
law Beid, special envoy to oonvey
to her royal and imperial Majesty
the congratulations and distin
guished considerations of the
American people. Tho high
honors attained by these once
arduous workors of the press are
enough to Btimulato tho spirit of
oven tho most weary of newspa
per men by tho thought that thero
is a bright and glorious future for
every journalist who will quit the
profession and marry an heiress.
