Sealed proposals, In triplicate, will be re
ceived at the office, until 11 o'clock a. m.,
February 28th, 1890, and then owned, for
furnishing the fresh beef and mutton In
bulk, 15,000 pounds, more or less, required
at this station by the Subsistence Depart
ment, U. S. Army, during the period com
mencing March 1st, 1899, and ending March
31st, 1899. Fresh beef shall be good in
quality and condition fit for Immediate use,
arid from fore and hind quartermeats propor
tionately, Including all the best cuts thereof.
Fresh Mutton shall be of good and
marketable quality, from wethers over one,
and under three years old. Beef and mut
ton to be dressed, and delivered as described
in circular instructions. Proposals willj
also be received stating price at which bid
der will deliver fresh beef or mutton, of
character above stated, and to be delivered
of temperature not greater than 50 degrees
Fahrenheit. Government reserves right
to reject In whole or In part any or all bids.
