Tho funeral of the late J. H.
Trask was to Kawaiabao cemetery
at 2 o'olook yesterday. Rev. W. A.
Gardner conducted the services.
As stated in last issue, Mr. TraBk
was 70 years of age. He had been
a resident of theso islands for half
a century, l'or many years ho liv
ed at Wailuku, and ho camo to
Honolulu twelvo years ago. He
had worked the last four -years, off
and on, for W. W. Wripht, tho
corriope makor. Mr. Trask leaves
a family of several daughters, one
of whom is toaobing school at Pu
naluu, Onhu. Two are married.
Police Cuurt Note.
In the Police Court Thursday
noon Rob Samoa was fined $5 and
costs on tho ohargo of assault and
battery on Wahaoi. The cobo of
George Harrison and Jim Mors
berg, obnrgod with malicious in
jury, was uollo pros'd. A. Cor
reira, the Portuguese tax collector
was fined S2 and costs for aasault
and battery on Ah Ngoe, the cook
at tho Atkinson homo in Pauoa.
This last caso has been hanging
for a long timo.
