of Ilutti1, Mont., was run over by the
cars at I'ujallup and both feet so bad
ly crushed the) had to be amputated.
The operation was performed Satur
day nnd Sunday afternoon the patl'nt

murdered by somo unknown person or

INDICTMENTS QUASHED
Judge Huniphrejs quashed the In
dictments against E. C. Macfarlane
and J. I'. Ilayward, licensees ot two
bathing resorts at Walklkl, for selling
liquor on Sunday, The Indictments
were drawn so vague that they
wouldn't hold water. Attorney Gen
eral Dole nsked for a nolle prosequi In
favor ot Charles Donahue, charged with
selling liquor without a license, and It
was granted. Ills Indictment was rs
shy of criminating details to be proved
as tho others,
A verdict of not guilty wns returned
yesterday, after a. trial lasting over n
day, In tho case of Kuglchl nnd Han
zabro, chnrged with iiiiiig a knife on
another Japanese.
