On September 1 thero had been made
322 separate connections to tho swer
svstem, representing 674 buildings In
which are some 9000 people, mostly
Chinese and Japanese. These connec
tions nre for the most part along King
street Ewa of Nuuanu stream- and
along Llllha street to School. All
houses along both streets are with a
few exceptions now connected with the
sewer sjstcm, the plumbing in all of
said houses having been put in a sani
tary condition according to the rules
nnd regulations of the Hoard of Health.

believe that the fire was Incendiary.
