power to appoint his associates, not
to exceed five,

bor, and to let tho hotels look after
balls, receptions, etc.
Smith said that some ladles had
asked him to let them give a sub
scription ball for tho Fleet and also
a garden party. Ho added that no

I.. T. Peck was elected treasurer of
tho committee.
Smith said that ho thought that
tho entertainment should ho limited
to sports. Pearl Harbor trip, and a
