High Sheriff Henry by his attorneys,
Kln.icy and I'rosscr, today filed In the
Clicult Court an appeal from the de
cision of the District Court, in the re
plevin suit brought against him, for
the recovery of tho documents and pa
pers, recently seized by tho High Sher
iff, for tho purpose of using ns evi
dence. In the conspiracy cases now
pending before Judge Do Dolt.
Judge Long held that the seizures
weiD Illegal, and without duo process
of law. Tho appeal bo;id was signed
by Cecil Drown, James 1'. Morgan uud
William Henry.
The bond was accompanied by Y.
Soga's nflldavit of the setzuro of cer
tain bookb and papers by Henry, and
an order based on the decision of the
District Court, from the Nlppu JiJI
Company, commanding HherllT Jarrett
to seize the paiicrs and return litem
