to reports purporting to emanate from
Washington, Knunl Is to come In for
n nu.nim-ncro forest reserve which will
practically Include the entire Wnlmea
Canyon country, n tract of land now
under lease to the Knudsen estate.
The lease Is to expire within six
years, but It Is tho opinion of some
that n cancellation of tho lea so might
bo secured. Tho land In question cm
braces tho most uttractlw scenic fea
tures 011 Kauai mid would nfTord one
of tho most Interesting forest reserves
in the Territory. The matter Is to bo
taken up by Secretary Fisher when ho
nrrlves, A mountain resort hotel to bo
situated near tho Wnlmea ('nii)oii Is
Included among the possibilities.
