* iF^Mbl^^Bppl The sudden passing of James Parker, whose funeral was Thurs day afternoon at Mt. Zion Bap tist Church, was a shock to the mr:ny people who had enjoyed his friendship ever many years. His sundries star! at 3rd are. and 9th st., was well patronized and even f friends who moved .to outlying . areas of tht county were always happy to arrange to come to “Parker’s”. His pleasing person . ality attracted strangers and kept them as trie* is. His wife, Nancy, . and his nieces Bertha Miller and Lois Parker,. were assets to his business. He could well have been as tired from the many woes brought to him by people as from the vast amomd of physosal work . that he did. People told him many things because: he did not betray their confidences. His friend, Beaucie Solomon had cfapige of the funeral ar ran jements. Miss Gibbs has a dressmaking shop in Nassau. • * * Mrs. Olita Ellis Robins and her daughter, Mrs. K- E. Simmons, both of Nassau are the {guests of Rev. and Mrs. McDonald of 4th Ave. Mrs. Robins, a white-haired matron, is quite thrilled over her first visit to Miami. Her daughter, a nurse, has charge of the male and female infirmary of Princess Margaret Hospital. The Rev. E. E. Simmons is pastor of Galilee Baptist Church, Hospital Lane. Mrs. Robins and Mrs. Simmons attended the wedding of their son and brother, Robert E.
