District Meetings To Be Scheduled At Marion K. of. C. MARION Plans were discuss ed for gettogether meetings of councils in the district at a meet ing of Marion Council. Announcement was made of the annual state bowling tournament to be held at Canton during March and April and Joe Maloney dis cussed plans for a district softball league. o—----------------- Requiem For James Euntan NEW LEXINGTON, O.—Funeral services were held Nov. 13 in St. Rose Church for Pic. James Euman who was killed May 31 in Korea Burial took place in Maplewood cemetery. The V.F.W. conducted a military funeral. Euman was killed by cross-fire while helping to take the small town of Tonggok. Korea, about 50 miles north of Seoul. EIGHTH AR MY. KOREA (NC) The Dis tinguished Service Cross, the na tion’s second highest award for ex traordinary heroism, has been awarded to the Rev. (Capt.) Emil J. Kapaun of Wichita. Kans.. Cath olic chaplain with the Sth Cavalry Regiment. The decoration was given to Fa ther Kapaun for deliberately re maining behind to tend the wound ed while the enemy closed in. He has been reported missing since the action which took place on the night of November 1-2. 1950. Father Kapaun is the second Catholic priest to whom the D.S.C. has been awarded during the Kore an war. The first was Father Her man G. Felhoelter.
