Vernon St. Vincent’s new basketball coach Jack Hogan may have a rough time matching last year's 17-6 Blue Streak record. Since that time, Rosecrans’ squads have won 32 out of 43 starts. Last year, the Bishops captured the sectional tournament with three straight wins and moved to the finals of the district tourney before losing to New Matamoras which went to the state finals in Columbus. Bill Hilsheimer ‘Most Valuable’ Bill Hilsheimer. who played every minute of all ten of Colum bus St. Mary’s football games this fall, received the Dr. O. J. Fillinger trophy as “most valuable player” at the annual football banquet last week at the school. Hilsheimer, a 165 lb. junior, played guard for the South Siders. Twenty-two varsity men and 23 members of the grade school team which finished second in the CYO-Presentation League were presented letters.
