Pope Advises (Continued from Page 1) tific work that all reasoned judg ments end in an absolute and un conditioned truth. To consider all knowledge, even that concerning the highest laws of reason and ex istence, as merely relative, is con trary to nature and to Christianity, he said, adding: “Those higher laws necessarily lead to God and. vice versa, the profession of a personal God com prises within itself the acceptance of absolute truth. Far from hinder ing research, absolute truth forms its indispensable basis and strong est support against error.” In conclusion, the Holy Fa ther entrusted priests, people, rulars and tha entire world to the protection of the Blessed Mother. Ha prayed that priests, "by the sanctity of their lives, the purity of their habits and the integrity of their teachings" may become sure guides to God for the peoples who have greater need for such guidance than ever before. The Pope entrusted lawmakers to the Mother of God so that they may promote laws in conformity with divine precepts. He invoked the help of Mary that peoples may practice those Christian virtues that always make nations happy, and that those who have left their Father’s house may find the way to return to it.
