Confusion There seems to be a great amount of confused thinking about popularity. Some people think that a popular person is one who has so many irons in the fire that he gets blood-shot eyes just trying to take care of them all. Others meas ure popularity by the number of phone calls one gets. It really means that a person who is popu lar has many persons who like him or admire him without even letting him know that they think he is great. Of course, the greatest rea son for popularity lies within the person himself. If his parents like him, his teachers and neighbors admire him. and God blesses him because he is blending his will with God’s, then, the person is really “in” even though he isn’t knocking himself but with social obligations or doesn’t realize that anyone both ers to give him a second thought.
