In connection with their woik on the music appreciation badg», members of Girl Scout Troop 47D of St. Michael School will tour the Jackson-Guldan violin factory ani attend an open air concert at Ohio State University during the montl of May. The events are being planned by Mrs. Joseph Stoughton, troop lead er, and her assistant, Mrs. Robert Fenstermaker. As an introduction to their work, the girls listened to a dis cussion on music appreciation by Foster McElfresh, Jr., conductor of the Columbus Orchestral Society. Dr. B. A. Spickerman, pastor, and Father Edward Hudacek and Father Robert Noon, assistant pas tors of St. Mary Church. The convention went on record as encouraging modesty in dress, clean and wholesome motion pic tures, stage plays, radio programs and television shows. The meeting was held in Lancaster public high school's auditorium where Mrs. Anne Fremantle, internationally known lecturer and writer, was the principal speaker. Bishop Ready presided at the meeting which was conducted by Mrs. Frank H. Vogel, president of the Diocesan council. Mrs. Hubert F. Gandee, president of the Lancaster parish council, was general chairman for the conference.
