(NC)—The day Mass Mission, a successful new method of conducting mis sions. has been introduced here by the Paulist Fathers al the Church of St. Paul the Apostle. The New York mission band o[ Paulist Fathers is presenting mis sion topics on five consecutive Sundays at all Masses in the church. The Sunday Mass Mis sion was originated by Paulist Father James F. Finley of New York. It is an attempt to meet the spiritual needs of those who are unable to attend evening serv ices of the regular parish mis sions which have been tradi tional in this country for more than 100 years The new’ method makes it pos sihle for all members of a par ish to make a mission instead nf the 40 to 50 per cent who make a mission in the evening. The first such mission was given by Father Finley about a year ago in St. Sylvester’s church in Brooklyn. Father John Skelly the pastor, said at the time that there were 4000 more persons in attendance at this mission than at the previous one. Father Finley said here that the popularity of the Sunday Mass Mission will increase be cause of the zeal of pastors to develop a spiritual life for more of their parishioners "They see it as a «ure and adaptable opportunity.” he said, "for getting the fundamental truths of God to their people, who live in a busy world where time is at a premium.” —O----------------------- FT PAYS TO USE THE TIMES CLASSIFIEDS SPECIAL MILLWORK TO YOUR ORDER Barnard Gen‘I KENTON I BUYERS' GUIDI GUIDE Dairy Products THE Kenton-Dunkirk Creamery City Dairy Mgr Feet Million* Of Of Lumber Church Cabinets Pew* Panelwork McNally Lumber Co. 2034 Leonard Ave. CL. 3-7481 Children's Clothing Miss & Master Dashery Bu»*er Brawn Shoe* The HILL DRUG CO.
