At the end of Mass at one of
the main Zagreb churches a
voice announced from the bal
cony: “Do not forget October 11
and Cardinal Stepinac!”
When the walls of communist
controlled trade union halls were
painted with pro-Stepinac in
scriptions, the police interrogated
a number of priests and close to
a hundred laymen about alleged
preparations for a mass demon
stration.
Unable to turn up any anti
Tito activity, however, the police
have contented themselves with
banning public prayers for the
Cardinal.

the Church of the future—in
Africa, Asia, Oceania ... If you
have the love of Christ in your
heart you will cut into your
pleasures to make a sacrifice
for the Holy Father, Whatever
you send to the Society for the
Propagation of the Faith is
