Hold First Diocesan Art Exhibit The first diocesan wide art exhibit of high schools and grade schools will be open Thursday May 9. at Rishop Watterson High School. Over two hundred fifty entries have heen received from 21 dio cesan schools, ranging from draw ings and paintings to pottery and erafts. Studants from the sixth grade of St. Augustine School submit ted a scale model fort made of toothpicks, while the seventh trade at St. Thomas the Apostle School sent their 50 foot mural. Mobile units depicting various saints came from St. Mary of the Springs Academy, and sixth grade students at St. Agatha's aent wood crafts. Judging the exhibit were Mrs. Charles Browne, educational direc tor of Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts, and Mr. Richard Bauer, art consultant of the Bexley Public Schools. Prizes and ribbons will be awarded to the best entries in each section. Columbus grade schools enter ing the art show are: Immaculate Conception, Holy Family, Holy Name, Holy Spirit. St. Agatha, St. Augustine. St. Dominic. St. James the Less. St. John Evangelist, St. Joseph Academy, St. Mary Mag dalene, and St. Thomas Apostle. Outside the city, art work was sent by Holy Trinity, Somerset Sacred Heart, Coshocton St. Jos eph, Dover and St. Peter and Paul, Wellston.
