Following the graduation exercises the seniors go to one of their homes for an informal party until around midnight when they return to the church for a three hour vigil before the Blessed Sacrament. The first hour is in thanksgiving for all favors and graces granted to them, the second hour they ask God's (Continued from Page 1) sia. But some of the characteristics of the parties which will claim the voters’ attention in the forth coming elections are the follow ing: The Communist party, which now claims a membership of about 63,000, is making a strong bid for former supporters of Peron. Though it was prescribed by law' in 1956, it still carries on some activity. It appealed the proscription, and continues work ing while the appeal is being ex amined. The Socialist party, which is bitterly anti clerical, would like to eliminate all Catholic influ ence from pubic life. It is strong in Buenos Aires but weak else where. The Radical Civil Union is a middle-of-the-road party which sometimes supports the Church and sometimes opposes it. It is the country’s largest political party, but is torn by internal dis sension between a faction which favors a liberal capitalist system and one which urges some social ization of the economy. The Democratic party is the party of conservatives and na tionalists. The Federal Union is a con servative, Catholic oriented group.
