ruary 22 meeting of the Rock
ville branch of the American
Association of University Wom
en at 8 p.m. in the Rockville
Civic Center. Mrs. J. Earl
Lehman will preside.
The Rockville branch has
been selected from all the
branches in Maryland by the
national AAUW to conduct a
pilot program to determine how
much we really know about our
secondary schools.

Auxiliary of the Montgomery
County Medical Society. Two
Chicago desginers, Saul Abrams
and Morton Bregman, brought
their collections especially for
the showing by Martin's Orig-;
inals of Silver Spring at Ken
wood Country Club.
Mr. Bregman presented a
hand-screened print costume j
made of imported material ex
clusive with him. The cocktail
dress, a .stained-glass-like print
made-up of every color you can
imagine, was topped with a
blouson chiffon jacket trimmed
to match.

Annapolis Trips
Students from five Mont
gomery County junior high
schools attended sessions of
the Maryland State Legislatuie
in Annapolis last week. The
field trips were sponsored by
the League of Women Voters.
Chaperoned by a teacher and
two members of the League, the
youngsters were introduced to
the county delegation for brief
ing, attended committee meet
ings. toured the State House
and Naval Academy and ob
served the legislature in session.
They also received pertinent
literature from the league and
will report their experiences
when they return to school.

from ninth grade civics classes.
