Dean Kesler and Mr. and Mrs Roy Chesney at dinner Wednesday evening, May 10. * * * The Damascus Family Com munity Club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Slacum Friday evening, May 5. The fol lowing reports on pertinent facts about different states were presented: California, by Miss Constance Mullinix; Arkansas, by Mrs. Raymond Kemp; Ari zona, Mrs. Brandon Duvall. Mr. Kincaid of Hagerstown showed slides on conservation which were interesting and instructive. Delicious refreshments were served. The finfcl plans were made for the third annual plant sale to be held May 20 at the Damascus fire house. There will be annual, perennial and shrub bery, including azaleas, for sale. It is planned to have some of the annuals in bloom to assist the gardener in making selec - tions.
