BILL OF COMPLAINT re
cites:
That the Plaintiff is a citizen
of the United States and a resi
dent of Montgomery County,
Maryland, for more than two
years next immediately preced
ing the filing of the Complaint
in this cause;
That the Defendant, Anna A.
Martinis, is a citizen of the
United States and her present
whereabouts are unknown. Her
last known address was 1070
Grand Avenue, Bronx 53, New
York City, New York;
That both Plaintiff and De
fendant are over twenty-one
years of age;
That the parties were married
in Athens, Greece, on or about
October 1, 1955;
That there were no children
born of said marriage nor any
property accumulated between
the parties;
That the Plaintiff has always
been kind, thoughtful, and affec
tionate toward the Defendant,
yet on or about the 11th day
of November, 1956, the Defend
ant without proper cause or
justification did desert and
abandon said Plaintiff from
their apartment at 1070 Grand
Avenue, Bronx 53, New York
City, New York. That said
desertion has continued without
interruption for more than
eighteen (18) months next im
mediately preceding the filing
of this suit and is the deliberate
and final act of the Defendant,
and beyond any reasonable hope
or expectation of reconciliation
between the parties.
That your orator has not con
doned said desertion on the part
of the Defendant and has not
co habited with said Defendant
since said desertjon on the part
of the Defendant. /
IT IS THEREFORE this 7th
day of July, 1961, by the Cir
cuit Court for Montgomery
County, Maryland, sitting as a
court of equity ORDERED that
the Plaintiff by causing a copy
of this Order of Publication to
be inserted in some local news
paper published in Montgomery
County, Maryland, once a week
in each of four successive
weeks before the 7th day of
August, 1961, and give notice to
said Defendant of the object
and substance of this BILL OF
COMPLAINT and warning her
to file her initial pleading on
or before the Bth day of Septem
ber, 1961, and show cause, if
any she has, why a Decree
should not be passed as asked,

The object of this suit is to
procure a decree of divorce
a vinculo matrimonii by the
Plaintiff from the Defendant
and for general relief.
The bill states, in substance,
that the Plaintiff is a resident
of Montgomery County, Mary
land, and that the Defendant is
a resident of Lewes, Delaware;
that the Plaintiff and the De
fendant were lawfully married
on May 21. 1953 in Harrington,
Delaware; that two children
were bom to the parties as a
result of the aforesaid mar
riage, said children being
Corinne L. Geyer and Walter J.
Geyer, Jr., and that said
, children are in the custody of
the Defendant; that on or about
January 10, 1960, without any
just cause or reason, the De
fendant abandoned and deserted
the Plaintiff and has declared
hei intention to live with him
no longer; that such abandon
ment has continued uninterrupt
edly, without cohabitation, since
the aforesaid date, is deliberate
and final, and that the separa
tion of the parties is without
any hope or expectation of
reconciliation.
IT IS, THEREUPON, this
19th day of July, 1961, by the
Circuit Court for Montgomery
County, Maryland, sitting as a
Court of Equity, and by author
ity thereof, ORDERED that the
Plaintiff, by publishing a copy
of this Order in some news
paper published in said Mont
gomery County once a week in
each of four (4) successive
