More important than the score was the way in which Blair manhandled the Spartans, allowing them but one first down and a net offensive total of 53 yards. WJ got into Blair territory only once, and that in the sec ond quarter when Bill Hayden recovered a fumble on Blazer 43. Barry Irwin got eight yards on the next play but WJ moved no further. Blair has outscored its oppo nents 65-0 in its first three games and despite the fact that the Blazer offense sputtered a bit in its games against Gaith ersburg and Roosevelt, there was no such problem against WJ.
