Monocacy Garden Club Is
busy with plans for the annual
Christmas greens workshop to
be held December 14 and 15
from. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St.
Peter's Parish Hall In Pooles
ville. Mrs. G. Mallet Prevost is
chairman of the event.
Tiie wokshop, which opens its
doors to the community, is build
ing an ever-increasing circle of
interest. Guests bring their own
materials and lunch. Experienc
ed makers demonstrate wreath
making. Coffee and inspiration
are furnished by the club with
out charge.
With this community sen’ice,
Monocacy Garden Club closes its
year under the leadership of
Mrs. Kenneth Endicott of Dick
erson, president. Mrs. Leon
Loeb has been selected to suc
ceed her in the coming year,
with Mrs. Wilson Poole, as vice
president, Mrs. John Harrell as
secretary, and Mrs. Edwin
Brown as treasurer.
Water Supply
Line Planned

ington Suburban Sanitary Com
mission to prepare construction
plans and specifications’ for a
36-inch water supply line be
tween Wheaton and Silver
Spring.
Designed to augment the ex
isting WSSC distribution system
in the Silver Spring area, the
project is expected to cost about
$350,000 and will include the in
stallation of about 3*/i miles of
pipeline.
Scheduled for 1962 and 1963
construction in the WSSC’s five
year water program, the project
will generally follow Sligo pky.

recent and expected future com
mercial and apartment develop
ment in the Silver Spring area,

health education and science
studies. It is evidence of the co
