10 Deacons Elected
At a recent election of offi
cers of the First Baptist Church
of Silver Spring ten men were
elected to three-year terms as
j deacons.
Five of the men have served
in the church before. They are
W. W. Anderson, Roy W. Kil-'
gore, John Munson, Norman
Owens and George Wilson.
The other five, Walter Mason,
Clifford Neal, George Orrell,
Arch Stockard, and Norman
Taylor, are serving the church
for the first time. Only one of
them, Norman Taylor, has not
been ordained. The ordination
service will be announced later.
Music Lessons Offered
Individual music lessons for
brass, piano and voice are being
offered again at the Bartonsville
Baptist Church.

ban renewal area, made for
town fathers by Real Estate Re
search Corporation of Washing
ton, cost $8,584.10.
The Mayor and Council Mon
day night authorized payment
of the bill. The cost of the study
is not taken from city revenues.
It is paid from Federal funds
received for planning phases of
the mid-city urban renewal pro
gram.
