A retired Hearst Magazine man
who is now writing books #nd arti
cles about the sea, ships, and the
Nlvy, Mr. Dapiel Henderson, and
hia wife, who formerly worked on
the Cosmopolitan editorial staff,
wtrq recent visitors to Key West
apd the N#vtl Bese.
They ceme to Key West as part
of a winter vacation car-jaunt, but,
feeing the Naval atmosphere, de
cided to look for a “slant” suitable
to mtgaaine publication.
Besides contributing to a num
ber of different magazines through
out the nftion, Mr. Henderson has
recently written a book entitled:
“The Hidden Coasts.” which is
icheduldd for publication on 18
March.
The book is a Biography of Ad
miral Charles Wilkes, USN, the
American Nival officer who com
manded the U. S. Naval Exploring
Expedition in 1838-42 and explored
uncharted seas of the Pacific and
Antarctic.

The two sens of Mr. and Mrs.
Garland Richardson, 7 Higgs Lane,
are seeing service in different
military branches, one in India and
the other in Korea.
Randolph O’Neil Richardson, a
Navy man, is stationed aboard the
USB Pittsburgh. He has spent two
years te the Navy and has re
cently seen service in Spain. At
present the ship has gone to Indie
for a two months’ tour of duty.

for six months and is at present
