Thursday, February 12,1953 FAWTU Course Completed By Lt.E.T. Walsh Lieutenant Edward T.. Walsh, USNR, son of Mrs. Grace Mary Walsh, 2917 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, 111., has, recently com pleted a four months course in All Weather Flight at the Fleet All Weather Training Unit, Atlantic, Key West, Fla. The course con sists of advanced flight training in instruments and night tactics de signed to qualify the pilot for Car rier All Weather Squadrons. He will report to Composite Squadron Twelve, Naval Air Sta tion, Quonset Point, R. 1., for duty involving flying. f * LT. E. T. WALSH Lieutenant Walsh entered naval service in August 1942 as an avia tion cadet in the Navy, V-5 pro gram. In August 1944, he was des ignated a naval aviator after com pleting the prescribed flight train ing course at Pensacola, Fla. He was subsequently assigned to Squadron VF-152. From 1946 until 1950, he belonged to Reserve Squadron, VF-97E. at Squatura, Mass. He is married to the former Miss Barbara E. Lister, daughter of Mr. ind Mrs. 'John W. Lister, 7 Fern crest Blvd. Providence, Mass. They have a son, John L. (8), and two i daughters, Kathleen T. (3) and Maureen J. (1).
