Page One) about a Siamese is about to come out. It is a sequel to their first juvenile “The Proud Cat” The Lockridges divide their writing between cats and corpses. With deft, professional skill, the couple ean write lightly about the felines, or melodramatically about the murdered villains in their my steries. . Cats play a very important part in the Lockridges’ life at their Ridgefield, Conn. home. “Our neighbors think we are mad because we hire a woman to come in and feed and care for the cats, while we are away,” Frances said. .As cat-experts, however, the Lockridges are only practicing what they preach in their cat guide bodes. Always have a neighbor, janitor, or friend eome in and feed the cat. But don’t up root* him, he’ll mope and all if you do. The Lockridge cats have been immortalized in their books. In real life their names are Martini, Gin and Sherry. They are not noisy as are some Siamese; but they know their rights and their owner’s obligations to them. “When we get borne, the cats will not speak to us for a while. They are furious when we leave them and take it out on us by ignoring us for a time when we return,” Dick said. Though delighted at the suc cess of the television show “Mr. and Mrs. North," CBS, Friday’s, 10 p.m. the Lockridges remain first and foremost book writers. In “Death By Association” they have a brand new twist moti vating their murderer, and a fear haunting their characters, that though unique in murder myster ies, is all too pervasive in the United States of today. Not only is the mystery engrossing, but it is timely and for Key Westers who love their native sights and sounds, it is heartwarming to see on the printed page descriptions of familiar scenes. 18 PILOTS FORM (Continued from Page One) C.
