Recently there have been many
appeals to the people ef Key West
to register In order to be tea
position to vote in the November
10th election. I am an average
citizen myaelf, but I do not be
lieve in getting involved in the
last minute rush. Therefore, I
and aB the members of my fam
ily registered hi March.
However, X have asked all of
my friends and neighbors why
they have not rogtoterod and the
general attitude to tot of disgust
mid disappointment, due to sev
eral amendments in the city char
ter. Unanimously, thorn I spoke
with felt our present mayor, C.
B. Harvey, ha and is doing an
excellent job at the helm and felt
he should not have to run again
to maintain his position. I hearti
ly agreed and pointed out that
insomuch as he docs have to run
for re-election the only way to
keep him in office is to vote him
in again. And, the only way they
ran vote him ia again is to reg
ister so the* they may have the
privilege of doing so, I convinced
them, but -how about everyone
: else who feels the same way. per
haps? Be sure you register now
so that we may keep Mr. C B.
Harvey as our mayor.
