joNi: lr. Mr. linker, our worthy Slier-
ilf, took to Jackson Ust week, Cleveland, for
stealing cattle, sentenced one year, and Mitchell,
a colored man, for stealing clothes, sentenced
two and a half years. The litter was tho man
who stole the coat ol from W. W. Vileo, at
the Eagle, then the Columbus House, more than
a year ago.
Wantkh Iiekf Mr. 8tron.fr, foreman
of the Hindery in this office, bought a quar
ter ot Wef on Saturday, tho most of which
was stolen from him during the night.
He cut the lccf up, and left it in a barrel, and
in the morning found the barrel without the
Wef. The tights of peisonal property are high
ly respected in this new city.

team,' owned by Jack Sutton, were hired on
Friday to Mr. Geisehuan of Ohio, who in compa
ny with Mr. Downs, the cutter at IngersoU',
went to Brown's Mills, with them Oc their re
turn, and in descending a hill east of Mr. Davis
farm, in the township of Lansing, they ran, over
tamed the buggy, threw its occupants out, and
separated, the nigh one breaking his neck short
off, by running against a tree, and the off nag
running into the river, where he lay all of ono
night It was a narrow escape for the occupant
of the bug?v.

Eli Loranger, deceased. On reading and filing
the petition, duty verified, of Philip J. Loran
ger. executor of the List will and testament of
Eli Loranger, deceased, praying that an instru
ment in writing, purporting to be the last wil
and testament of said deceased may be admitted
to probate, and that said petitioner may be ap.
pointed executor, as provided in said last will
and testament.
