here to-day, after being shot twice by the
Sheriff.
Dr. .1. 15. Russell, alias Richard S. Hewitt,
alias Dr. Beck, who has been ligm ing here,
and in New Orleans and Baltimore under
various aliases, was exposed yesterday by
his brother-in-law as an escaped jail bird
from X. w Jersey, and has decamped.
T. 11. Withers, lately a commission mer
chant Imre, has disappeared, leaving nuuier
ous creditors.
